The waters around Harkers Island have always been a sure way to get your hands on the prestigious fish and have lots of fun catching it. Harkers Island Fly Fishing charter and Captain Dan welcome you aboard! These trips are available year round, so any time is good for your next trophy.

Fly fishing is considered to be an advanced technique, which doesn’t mean you have to be a seasonal angler to join this trip. It takes a bit of practice to get the feeling for the fly but then there’s nothing stopping you to land a big one. However, if fly fishing isn’t your thing, you can request spinning gear as well.

Some of the species you’ll go after are Redfish, Trout, Bonito, Bluefish, Mackerel, and Cobia if you go nearshore, or even Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Barracuda, and Amberjack if you reach deeper spots.

You’ll be fishing on a 26’ center console that’s powered by twin 150 HP Yamaha engines. This boat features modern navigational electronics, a live bait tank, and a cooler.

All fishing equipment you’ll need for the trip is covered by Capt. Dan. Of course, if you already have your favorite gear, feel free to bring it with you. The captain also covers your fishing equipment, so you only need to bring some snacks and drinks for the day.
