Strategies to get the very best rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Booking your Crystal Coast vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First, have your group choose a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Amenities GALORE! Private pool, hot tub, elevator and MORE! has 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your family.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
