Pine Knolls Shore area offers a more casual, family-aligned experience than most NC or SC resort areas are offering these days. The location of this community is set somewhat apart from the hustle and bustle, and the clean, broad beaches provide an alluring hideaway for couples and families. The unit has two floors, sleeps 6 comfortably (that is the max. number of occupants) and has been completely refreshed for 2021. It is a great location just steps from the beach and pool.
This modest development, Pine Knoll Townes III, is occupied mostly by residents and out-of-town homeowners lending itself to a friendly, safe and mature ambiance (i.e. no wild events). Kids especially adore the ease of beach to pool to condo access. The NC Aquarium is right down the street, Lost Treasure mini golf & raceway about 3 miles, Fort Macon 8 miles, and a short ride to historic Beaufort. Please: No smoking and No family pets allowed for renters as per condo rules.

Also: Most people bring their own linens. If you choose to use our service, there is a fee. You should bring some beach towels and beach chairs.

Booking the best Pine Knoll Shores rental experience:

When to visit Pine Knoll Shores & When to book:

  • Summertime is high season in the Crystal Coast area. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental:

  • Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanview Unit in Desirable, Family-Friendly Community. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
