Strategies to get the best Crystal Coast rental home experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summertime is high season in the Crystal Coast area. To get the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking the right Crystal Coast rental:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. The Lookout at Queens Court has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
