How to get the best Crystal Coast vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. Reserve your Crystal Coast rental property in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best rental home in the Crystal Coast area:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Double Queen-Unit 102 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.

More considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Contact the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
