Atlantic Beach rental booking tips and tricks:

Money saving strategies:

  • To find the best vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Crystal Coast restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many management companies supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the best rental home:

  • Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. 3rd-Floor Condo Overlooking Courtyard w\/Beach Views, WiFi, Shared Pools\/Hot Tub has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Crystal Coast vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
