Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the best value, change your family's Crystal Coast vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Selecting and booking yourrental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Atlantic Beach, Sleeps 8, 500 Ft, Fishing Pier, Small pets with fee. has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If there's a particular Crystal Coast attraction you crave, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
