Imagine starting your day with a cup of coffee while watching the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean. Or relax in the evening by watching the sun set while appreciating a glass of wine on the private balcony connected to your upstairs master suite.

These are the kinds of experiences we want to share with our guests at The Sandy Turtle.

We are located just a few steps from private beach access, so no matter how busy the beaches get, you will have no issues trying to find parking or a prime spot on the beach.

The property also features a clubhouse, swimming and kid pools, and pool chairs for when you need a change of pace from the ocean and sand.

The Sandy Turtle offers a unique Atlantic Beach experience, as there is a ton of space for the entire family to relax and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Our property's location offers diverse experiences as we are located steps away from private beach access, directly next to Fort Macon State Park for anyone in the family interested in history, a 10-min. drive to the stores and famed eateries of Morehead City, and a 15-min. drive from Beaufort's famed waterfront stores and eateries. If there's a bit of rain in the forecast, do not worry. Our location is only a 15-min. drive from the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, which will be a great way to spend time with the family indoors.

We've included board and card games, coloring books, a sea shell collection bag, and Intelligent TVs to ensure kids of all ages are entertained to give the parents a anxiety-complimentary beach vacation.

Our condo is an end unit with a neighbor only on one side, offering more privacy. Upon entering the property, the bottom floor includes a sitting area with cable TV, a queen-sized pull-out couch bed, a sink and mini refrigerator in the hallway, a laundry room with a new washer and dryer, storage for beach chairs, closet storage space, a full bathroom, and bedroom with queen-sized bed.

Up the stairs, you will enter the main living area which features a 55-inch Intelligent TV, cable, couch, adore seat, kitchen table, full kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, pantry, full bathroom, bedroom with a queen-sized bed, closet space, and an outdoor deck with seating.

Up the final set of stairs, you will find the master bedroom with seating and a balcony view of the ocean, a king-sized bed, a 55-inch Intelligent TV, cable, a full bathroom, and closet storage space.

Parking is limited to two cars. One car may be parked in the driveway directly in front of the property, and another may be parked in front of the clubhouse/pool area. Two temporary parking permits will be supplied and must be displayed at all times while your car is parked in the driveway or common space.

For security, there is a Blink Doorbell Camera at the front door of the property as well as a Blink Camera on the main level patio deck near the back door.

We want to create a calming family ambiance, so events and loud music aren't allowed.

Also, family pets and smoking are not allowed.

We look forward to hosting your future stay at The Sandy Turtle!

Our top Vacation rental booking tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Planning and choosing the perfect Crystal Coast rental:

  • Choose your vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 3 story 3BR\/3BA condo in the heart of Atlantic Beach with private beach access has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
