Tips to get the very best vacation home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • Book your vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the best rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Start by having your family decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Oceanfront Complex with 2 bedrooms and Pool has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • Upon check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
