How to get the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and choose the right Crystal Coast vacation home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Second-Floor Condo in Oceanfront Location w\/Shared Pool, Free WiFi, Water Views has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a certain Crystal Coast destination you crave, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
