We are happy to share our home with you and really hope you get to appreciate it as much as we do. The original rustic beach bungalow was constructed in 1950 the addition finished in 2012. Our bungalow of the 50's features original knotty pine walls and ceilings to give you that comfortable secure feeling that we all need these days. It offers roomy front and back decks with ocean vistas to the front and modest sound view to the back.

About the Area

Located in Atlantic Beach, this cottage is near theme parks and near the beach. North Carolina Maritime Museum and Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Anchorage Marina and Triple S Marina. Traveling with kids? Consider North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, or check out an event or a game at Big Rock Stadium. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.

• At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
