• Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Summertime is high season in the Crystal Coast area. Booking your Crystal Coast vacation home in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
• Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
• Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments.
