Tips for getting the best Crystal Coast vacation property experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer is high season in the Crystal Coast area. Reserve your vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning and picking your Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. OCEANSIDE CONDO WITH GREAT DECK VIEWS has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
