Strategies for getting the perfect Crystal Coast rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer is high season in the Crystal Coast area. Reserve your Crystal Coast vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the rightrental home:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC -Hungerford's Haven has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If there's a specific Crystal Coast beach you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
