Take advantage of the beautiful springtime weather, as well as an opportunity to explore the Crystal Coast in depth, with this annual race that is celebrating its 34th year in 2024. The Annual Lookout Rotary Road Race is a fun event that is accessible for attendees of all ages and skill levels, and which offers a wide range of courses – from a Fitness Walk to a Half Marathon – to encourage everyone to get out, get active, and join in the fun.

The health-oriented event is organized by the Lookout Rotary in Morehead Coty, and race proceeds will go to support a range of Rotary-sponsored charitable groups with emphasis on local county programs. All races launch from the landmark train depot on the edge of Morehead City’s waterfront downtown area, and the ensuing courses veer through flat and fast neighborhoods where the local culture and waterfront views shine. Multiple options are available to cater to runners, walkers, and joggers of all skill levels, which includes a half marathon, a one-mile run for kids, a 5K run, and a Fitness Walk. Open to all ages, as well as visitors and locals alike, the Annual Lookout Rotary Road Race is a great way to discover Morehead City and the surrounding Crystal Coast region while enjoying a wonderfully active good time.
