Anglers can embark on a full-steam ahead adventure with a ride onboard the Bill Collector - an inshore and offshore charter boat service that launches from Morehead City. Commandeered by Capt. Stephen Draughon, a local with more than 25 years of experience fishing off the North Carolina coast, the charter company has the professional yet friendly expertise required to ensure that visiting anglers have the best chance of reeling in the big one.
The trips take place onboard the “Bill Collector,” a 52’ ft. long Carolina Sportfisherman by Jarrett Bay with twin diesel engines for more fishing time. There are a number of trips available, which cover a wide range of waters. Patrons can opt for a ½ day or inshore charter fishing trip, which explores the nearby open sound and ocean waters, a full-day Gulf Stream fishing trip, where trophy catches like marlins and sailfish can be seasonally reeled in, or even a Winter Bluefin Trip, which is available from November through January. (Overnight fishing trips are also available for maximum time in the Gulf Stream.) With miles of fishing holes to cover, and a nice selection of customized adventures, Bill Collector is a great catch when it comes to charter fishing along the Crystal Coast.
