Celebrating its 17th year in 2024, the Carteret Community College Spanish Mackerel & Dolphin Fishing Tournament is a great opportunity for anglers of all ages and abilities to test their skills in the plentiful waters of the Crystal Coast. Launching from the heart of Morehead City, this fun fishing tournament features a world of prizes for kids and adults, and is a great way to celebrate the summer fishing season along the North Carolina coastline.

The event kicks off at the Jaycee Park in Morehead City, which is located in the heart of the downtown area, just steps away from the edge of the Bogue Sound. Following a Friday night Captain’s Social, this Saturday afternoon tournament is open to both kids and adults, and everyone in the family is welcome and encouraged to sign up and join in the fun. There are a wide array of prizes in stores, for both the most seasoned and the youngest anglers in the crew, and the event raises funds for local charities in connection with the Carteret Community College in Morehead City. With enticing prizes and miles of fun to go around, the Carteret Community College Spanish Mackerel & Dolphin Fishing Tournament is becoming one of the most anticipated fishing tournaments of the year.
