Make a contribution to a very worthy cause in the local community while enjoying comradery and fellowship with friends at this annual luncheon that has been going strong for more than 20 years. The Empty Bowls Luncheon helps out the local Hope Mission, and features a soup meal that is traditionally served in beautiful handcrafted bowls that are donated by local potters and area businesses and organizations. With unique and beautiful bowls to take home, and a great cause as the heart of the event, the Empty Bowls Luncheon is a wonderful winter activity in more ways than one.

Tickets for the Empty Bowls Luncheon are $20 per person, and the ticket gives attendees the opportunity to pick out their favorite homemade bowl, as well as enjoy a simple but delicious meal of soup, bread, dessert and a drink. Local potters, restaurants, civic organizations, and businesses all contribute to the annual event, and all proceeds go to help Hope Mission and Martha’s Cupboard, which are both organizations that are based in Morehead City. Serving as a popular way to help out residents in need throughout the Carteret County area, the Empty Bowls Luncheon does a world of good while providing an engaging event from start to finish.
