The event takes place along the edges of Garner Park, and it’s not unusual to see plenty of locals and visitors decked out in their most festive gear for the celebration. Kids, adults, and festive parade fans of all ages take part in the procession, and afterwards, ice cold drinks and watermelon is traditionally served at the town park, allowing folks to meet and mingle while enjoying a little July refreshment.
