The home base of the Taste of Core Sound is the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center, which is a locally beloved and acclaimed museum that’s situated in the small town of Harkers Island. Celebrating centuries of maritime heritage, the museum as well as the event pays homage to these coastal roots through a delicious taste of all the staples and more creative seafood dishes that the region is known for. A variety of dishes are served to the delight of patrons, and the event always sells out quickly, due to limited seating, so advanced reservations are strongly encouraged.
