Rental booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to select the best vacation home in Atlantic Beach:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. A Place At The Beach Unit 168 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Crystal Coast destination you love, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

During your stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
