Emerald Isle rental property booking tips:

How to get the best value:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Emerald Isle. To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Crystal Coast attractions.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many management companies supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the best vacation rental in the Crystal Coast area:

  • Select dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Check out this Gem at The Point! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Advice for a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
