Tricks and tips for getting the perfect rental home experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. To book the largest rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Crystal Coast attractions and restaurants.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book yourvacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Third-row cottage featuring central AC, private W/D & free WiFi has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property owner before booking your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's an individual Crystal Coast destination you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
