Beaufort rental home booking tips and tricks:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Beaufort. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to pick the perfect vacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Magnificent 15 Acre Estate on the Intracoastal Waterway has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
