When you stay here, you just might not leave the resort during your vacation. An abundance of onsite amenities and activities are enough to keep you and your kids busy during your stay. These include multiple swimming pools, sports courts, resort activities, miniature golf, and, of course, private beach access. This two-bedroom vacation condos is equipped with a roomy living area and full kitchen, the ideal place to make a fast meal before you head back to the sand and surf. My family has been going here since 1979. We drive in from Atlanta and definitely adore the family friendly environment that is much less busy than the FL beaches. Atlantic Beach is one of the homes of Black Beard the Pirate, host of a national Blue Marlin fishing tournament, and has museums like Fort Macon. The history of this place is a must see.

About the Area

Atlantic Beach is home to this vacation home. North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and North Carolina Maritime Museum are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Coral Bay Shopping Center and Morehead Plaza Shopping Center. Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway and Flatwaters Paddling are also worth visiting.

• Summertime is the most expensive season in the Crystal Coast area. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
• Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Some owners offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
• Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
• Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
• Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Record a video to document the condition of the property.
