Tricks and tips to get the perfect Crystal Coast rental home experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best value, shift your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Views of the SOUND AND SEA! Top floor 2024 FULLY RENOVATED condo! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Crystal Coast rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If not, reach out to the host before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
