Carolina Artist Gallery

From incredible gallery shows that highlight the talents of a local artist or two, to fun classes that are appropriate for creative students of all ages and skill levels, there are lots of fun ways to explore the Crystal Coast art scene at the Carolina Artist Gallery. This co-op gallery that’s found in the heart of Morehead City is a fine destination for local artists to showcase their talents or hone their craft, and everyone from lifelong locals to new visitors are encouraged to stop by and join in the fun.

The Carolina Artist Gallery was established in 1999 from a casual group of local women who wanted to get together regularly and paint, and today the pretty art space along Evans Street is a non-profit organization where dozens of local artists can shine. Emerging artists are featured regularly through special gallery showings, receptions, and other events, and students of all abilities can sign up for a class or two at the nearby studio and workspace, the Mulberry Street Studio. With classes that range from beginning or intermediate watercolors to unique art forms like scratch work, everyone can discover a new talent from professional locals. From admiring regional works to discovering personal talents, Carolina Artist Gallery is a colorful addition to the Downtown Morehead City scene.
