Celebrating its 16th year in 2023, the Christmas Candlelight Tour is a celebration of Beaufort’s centuries of history and community spirit, and will be a festive event for locals and visitors alike. Hosted by the Beaufort Historical Association, the Christmas Candlelight Tour provides a rare look into some of Beaufort’s most prestigious and history-rich homes, businesses, and landmarks, and is a fun way to discover more about this popular vacation destination while enjoying the spirit of the season.

The Christmas Candlelight Tour showcases a wide range of destinations on its annual tour, which can include privately owned and historic homes, local inns or bed & breakfasts, and even a few historic churches in the heart of the downtown area. Along the way, tour-goers will enjoy stunning displays of holiday lights and décor with every stop, as the hosts deck out their residences or businesses to truly make them sparkle for the season. From glittering tinsel and coastal-themed ornaments, to lovely greenery and towering Christmas trees, the tour is a great way to get a boost of holiday spirit. Listed as a "Top 20 Event" in recent years by the Southeast Tourism Society, the annual Christmas Candlelight Tour is a can’t-miss event for all holiday visitors.
