Dragon King is a small Chinese take-out and eat-in restaurant that’s located in the inland residential section of Beaufort, just off of Highway 70. Though simple and unimposing, the establishment is nonetheless a popular spot for both Crystal Coast visitors and locals to enjoy a little something different, either at the small dining area or in the comfort of their hotel or vacation rental home.
The menu is extensive and features all the Chinese food staples, including fried rice, chicken, steak and seafood dishes, vegetarian specialties, and all of the above. Take-out patrons can call ahead of time, or order at the counter which is flanked by a series of booths for folks who’d rather sit down and enjoy the meal. Dragon King also offers a regular buffet for patrons, which is filled with stir-fried veggies and proteins, steak and chicken dishes, rice dishes, and a rotating selection of Chinese favorites, like pot-stickers and beef or chicken kabobs. Though traditional, the fare is nonetheless highly ranked by locals who consider it a solid Beaufort destination for easy take-out fare.
