For a lot of outdoor fun that’s found just slightly off the beaten path, head to the Golfin' Dolphin. This kid-friendly amusement park that’s located just inland of the Crystal Coast beaches has veritably everything a vacationer could want to have an engaging outing off the beach.
The Golfin' Dolphin is located in the small community of Cape Carteret, which is found just across the bridge from Emerald Isle, and which is a short drive away from the neighboring town of Swansboro. The entertainment complex features a world of ways to have a blast, including year-round amenities such as a driving range with 25 covered mats and 25 grass tees, batting cages with multiple pitch speeds, and an 18-hole mini golf course which features sand traps, water hazards, caves, and waterfalls. There’s also a host of seasonal activities for summertime and warm weather visitors, which includes lightning-fast go-karts, bumper boats, and a “Water Wars” park that boasts two stations outfitted with balloon launchers – (a favorite attraction with the park’s younger set.) From golfing practice to watery adventures that will have kids shrieking with delight, the Golfin' Dolphin is a fantastic and easy to reach destination for visitors who want to enjoy a world of outdoor entertainment, off the beach.
