Plaza Mexico Restaurant Bar and Grill is a lively spot in Emerald Isle that serves up ice cold drinks and traditional Mexican cuisine in a casually cool atmosphere, The interior features a nice bar area, dimmed lighting, and a collection of booths and tables along brick-lined walls, which makes it a little dark, and a little decadent, for patrons who want to chow down.
The menu is equally rich, with six pages of appetizers, combination meals, fajitas, and Mexican favorites that are sure to leave guests wondering where to start. There’s also a separate drink and dessert menu which is just as impressive, and which features Mexican favorites like margaritas and other Tequila-based mixed drinks. (In fact, there’s nearly 20 different margaritas to choose from!) Hungry patrons can’t go wrong, but local favorites include the sizzling fajitas, the combination dinners, and the wealth of seafood dishes which include spicy Camarones (shrimp) A LA Diabla and Plaza Mexico fish tacos. With nice extras like fresh cilantro, avocado, and Pico de Gallo readily available, veritably every dish has a distinctively fresh flavor.
A good bet for hungry beachgoers and Happy Hour fans alike, Plaza Mexico Restaurant Bar and Grill is Emerald Isle’s answer for ravenous Mexican food cravings.
