This Beaufort water access site that’s located just outside the heart of the Downtown area is a refreshing destination for water fans who are looking for an easy launching point to explore the Newport River, the local inlets, and the miles of water that are found just offshore.
The Town Creek Water Access is located along Turner Street, directly behind the local airport, and just a shell’s throw away from the heart of the Downtown area. Once visitors have crossed the small and elevated road that leads almost directly to the site, they’ll find ample parking for boats with trailers, as well as 2 boat ramps and a “comfort station.” In addition, there are 2 floating docks for the convenience of visiting mariners and / or paddlers, as well as a fishing pier, where anglers can dip a line into the wide waters to try and reel in some of the Crystal Coast’s tasty inshore species. From heading out on a cruise to the outlying Taylors Creek and Shackleford Banks, to just enjoying the views while dropping a line into the water, the Town Creek Water Access is a fun (and free) destination for enjoying waterfront Beaufort at its best.
