About this Property

  • Cottage

Out on the peninsula about 15 mins. to Beaufort township. It's one of America's oldest settlements and was voted Finest Modest Town in US 2017. The home itself is very tidy with all amenities and super-fast Wi-Fi (unlimited). So, if you have to do a little business you can. A printer is also on hand for any printing. The dock is ideal for fishing and crabbing, and i also have a modest private sandy beach for swimming. It's a super safe neighborhood, and the neighbors are most helpful. I will be adding cards and board games for those rainy days. I have a modest collection of books that you can appreciate as well. I have left instructions on how to operate the TV: cable, Amazon, and Apple TV. It's worth mentioning that Beaufort was the first town to do Ghost Tours, and it's rather famed, so be sure to check it out.
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING---tks

Tips to get the optimal Crystal Coast vacation home experience:

When to book a Crystal Coast rental & When to go:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. To get the best value, shift your family's Crystal Coast vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best rental home:

  • Start by choosing trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Waterfront cottage with dock & kayaks has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Crystal Coast vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

During your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many problems.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
