Tips and Tricks to get the best rental home experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Indian Beach. To find the best value, try changing your family's Crystal Coast vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and choose the perfect Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. This bright and colorful \"beachy\" condo is perfect for those seeking the sun! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many issues.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
