How to get the best Crystal Coast rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Crystal Coast area. To get the best rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • To start, have your group decide on the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. 3rd-row beach cottage with ocean views, beach access, deck, & grill has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
