The Pelican’s Post is a cavernous 4-Bedroom, 4-Bath duplex located on a high lot with handsome vistas of the ocean from all levels. Located just across the street from the beach access on a rather cul-de-sac. Just mins. away from Emerald Isle where visitors can shop, catch a movie, play miniature golf, ride a go cart and more. Within a 5 min. drive to eateries, bars and ice cream stores. The Bogue Inlet Pier is a short walk down the beach where you can fish, get lunch or watch the waves. Bicycle units, Jet Ski units and Kayaks are a 5 min. drive on the sound side of the island.

GROUND LEVEL: Movie/Rec Room-Giant Intelligent TV with sectional and tons of games, puzzles, and cards. There is also a full bathroom.

MIDDLE LEVEL: Master bedroom has a King Bed and on-suite, Bedroom 2 has 2 Twin Beds, Bedroom 3 has a Queen Bed and there is a full bathroom as well. Oceanview deck access from the master bedroom.

TOP LEVEL: Bedroom 4 has a Queen Bed and attached full bathroom, Sizable open living room with a queen sleeper couch, kitchen and dining room.

How to get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, shift your family's Crystal Coast vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses.   • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your contract.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback.
