Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Beaufort vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Beaufort rental home:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Beaufort. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Crystal Coast attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.

Planning and choosing the perfectrental home:

  • Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Fisherman's paradise, large covered porch, pet friendly, & close to Beaufort, NC has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • During arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
