How to find the best Beaufort vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Crystal Coast area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking the bestrental home:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Intercoastal Waterfront House with Long Dock has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
  • If there's an individual Crystal Coast beach you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
