Years ago, when I was looking for a home on the island I came across this property. When I walked up the front steps for the first time, I entered into a calming little wonderland. Set up high on a sand dune surrounded by trees, this property is the ideal calming hideaway. Set smack dab in the middle of town, it is walking/cycling distance to nearly everything in Emerald Isle. It is 1 block from the sound and about 7 blocks to the ocean.

Emerald Isle is home to this vacation home. Emerald Isle Adventures and The Sweet Spot are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Emerald Plantation and Salty Air Open Market. Emerald Forest Golf and Salty Pirate Water Park are also worth visiting.

When to visit & When to book:

• The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Crystal Coast area. Book your Crystal Coast vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
• Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. • If there's a certain Crystal Coast attraction you are enamored with, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.

Have a wonderful stay:

• Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
• Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
• Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
• Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute is filed.
• Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
• At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review.
