Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect rental home experience:

When to book a Crystal Coast rental & When to go:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Make a plan and choose the rightvacation home:

  • To start, have your group select dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Third-Floor Ocean-View Condo Overlooking Courtyard w/Private Balcony, Free WiFi has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is right for your vacation group.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. Contact the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
