Getting the best Crystal Coast vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Summertime is high season in New Bern. To find the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Crystal Coast area visitor guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfect Crystal Coast rental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Wyndham Fairfield Harbour
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If not, contact the property management company before you book the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is suitable for your trip.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
