Our top Beaufort rental booking tips:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Crystal Coast attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Crystal Coast area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing vacation dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Coastal home near the ocean with covered porches & W\/D has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
