Tricks and tips to get the very best Crystal Coast vacation rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • Book your rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking a perfect Crystal Coast rental:

  • Start by choosing trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. King Junior-Unit 113 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your family.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
