Find your perfect rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in Emerald Isle. To get the best value, change your family's Crystal Coast vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses.   • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
