The ideal spot for your Atlantic Beach hideaway! This one-level, four-bedroom home is roughly 1/3 of a mile from beach access and 1/4 mile to the sound. A public fishing pier and boat launch on the sound is just one street over. You'll be three miles west of the circle at Atlantic Beach and three miles east of the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and Theodore Roosevelt Natural Area. Fort Macon State Park is within a five-mile drive. You can also walk up the street to multiple bars, stores, and eateries, including a beach/tiki bar.

Outside, there is a huge covered side porch with a fan, Blackstone grille, and propane fire table; a patio under the deck with a porch swing and rockers; and an elevated sundeck with sound vistas, where you can hear the ocean waves crashing and watch the sunset. There is also a putting green out front to brush up on your game between beach visits.

If you are visiting with kids or teens, this setup is ideal! The double bunk room is a fun and comfortable space. Living room plus adjacent sunroom with shuffleboard, puzzles, and games offering the option to all hang out together or have your own private space. (The fireplace is not operational.) Cozy beds, TVs in each bedroom, and bright-beachy decor make this the ideal calming vacation spot.

The eat-in kitchen is outfitted with all the essentials, including an air fryer. The Blackstone grille on the covered side porch is a fun touch for those who like to prepare.

Extra perks include central air-conditioning, complimentary WiFi, and an on-site washer/dryer. Although it only offers a bath and a half inside, there is also a private outdoor shower. As an added perk, a six-person street-legal golf cart is at the home and available to rent separately during your stay.

Booking the best Crystal Coast vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in the Crystal Coast area. To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Crystal Coast area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain deals for local tours and attractions.

  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Sweet, walkable beach cottage with elevated sundeck, patio & shuffleboard has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your family.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
