How to book the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 2 Bed, 2 Bath Oceanfront Condo at Island Beach & Racquet Club ~2025 Updates~ has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
