  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses.
