Updates finished this winter: 1) new deck with gate 2) new drywall and ceilings throughout (bedrooms have paneling) 3) new lighting 4) four new king beds & two new queen-over-queen bunk beds 5) new kitchen 6) new living room TV's 7) new barstools. Duplex connects through inner door. 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, 2 dining rooms, 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms. Parking for 6 cars! Beach chairs, beach towel, beach wagon & umbrella included. Amazing location so you never have to drive. Grocery store, putt putt golf, water park, movies - all a short walk down the road. Linens and towels are supplied.

Dogs allowed, $400 pet fee per stay. No dogs on beds - put dog couch covers on couch. Dog hair on furnishings or beds incurs an additional fee from cleaning company and will be charged to guest. Amount TBD depending on extent.

Emerald Isle is home to this vacation home. Emerald Forest Golf and Salty Pirate Water Park are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Emerald Plantation and Salty Air Open Market. Traveling with kids? Cost saving strategies:

  • To find the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Crystal Coast area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses.   • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
