About this Property

  • Sleeps 6
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Cottage
  • Approximately 768 square feet

Vacation at this comfortable 768 sq ft bungalow offering a retro interior with ocean-themed accents, an ocean front deck with direct beach access and expansive vistas of the Atlantic Ocean, a gas grille, air conditioning/heat, complimentary WiFi and washer/dryer. We regret we are not able to accommodate family pets.

You’ll feel at home upon arrival with our welcome K-cups and candy with a starter package of soap, toilet paper and paper towels supplied complimentary to tide you over until you make a run to the local grocery. Go right outside to our oceanfront deck and relax to the welcoming sound of the ocean just steps away. Watch as the dolphins play and the pelicans fish; if lucky you may even savor the sound of freedom when our neighboring Marine base pilots practice their runs.

Sip your morning coffee on our beachfront deck while watching the start of another gorgeous sunrise followed by a walk or jog along the pristine beach.

Tan on the beach while reading a novel from our complimentary book selection, swim or surf in the ocean, bring the kids to the Lost Treasure Raceway or Salty Pirate Water Park, see a first-run movie, appreciate close by shopping and listen to live music on the beach and at our many eateries and bars. For those wishing to be more active: rent bicycles, discover the beach for treasures during the day and crab spot at nighttime, fish from the beach, discover our history at Ft Macon State Park, see the wild ponies at Shackleford Banks or enjoy the many water sports offered locally.

At the end of the day, share a toast with your favorite drink while watching the jaw-dropping sunset light up the sky with a burst of color before fading into a star-filled nighttime sky. Stargazing from our deck will become your favorite pastime!

There are three cozy bedrooms offering one queen bed with an ocean front view, two twins which comfortably push together for a king-size bed and one set of bunk beds ideal for the kids. Queen bed has Gel Cool memory foam bed purchased new in 2021; all other beds have pillow top, green tea memory foam beds purchased new in 2021. Comfy pillows and additional blankets offer a good nighttime's rest.

We offer a few beach chairs, noodles and sand toys for your convenience as well as a complimentary selection of books for young and old, puzzles, games and cards. Feel complimentary to bring along your own to enjoy also. There is an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. We supply beach towels; please do not use the bath towels for the beach.

Each year along the Crystal Coast, hundreds of turtles return home to nest. In the summer months of May through October, dozens of nests are found along our handsome beaches. To ensure this wonder of nature continues to thrive, we ask you to fill in any holes you may have dug while playing on the beach and to leave nothing but your footprints in the sand. Remember to turn off the deck light at nighttime as it confuses the nesting mothers and the hatching infant turtles.

This cozy ocean front beach bungalow is ideal for a casual Crystal Coast vacation!

Emerald Isle rental home tips and tricks:

When to visit & When to reserve a Crystal Coast rental home:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Crystal Coast visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Cozy Ocean Front Cottage! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or might be applied to your agreement.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
