Strategies to get the best vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Crystal Coast rental home & When to go:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Crystal Coast vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Crystal Coast area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental:

  • First and foremost, have your group select the best dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. King Junior-Unit 111 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • Is your family looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
